An addition to this classic modern one-room cottage built in the 1950s expands the living room and provides new bedrooms and bathrooms for a vacation retreat. The new construction literally mirrors the footprint of the existing house. The space between the two pavilions allows a connecting link with a new entry on one side and a large deck on the other. The addition is carefully detailed to complement the existing while adhering to strict current energy conservation regulations.
