Provincetown Cottage Addition

This project combined two small beachfront cottages within the Delft Haven complex in Provincetown’s West End. The challenge was to fit the desired program into a total of 1,100 sq feet of space while creating a unified exterior composition, which blends with the modest scale of the 1920’s resort cottage complex.

A new kitchen addition links the two original structures, permitting repurposed space accommodating two bedrooms, two baths, living/dining, and work space within the small footprint. Large windows with views of Provincetown Harbor, and cathedral ceilings allow the interior spaces to feel much larger than they actually are.
